Freedom House’s annual Freedom in the World report reiterates that even in conditions of a lengthy blockade and constant threat of repeated aggression from Azerbaijan, Artsakh remains partly free and even registers progress as a democracy.
The international human rights organization gave Artsakh 37 out of 100 points in protection of political rights and civil liberties.
The report also mentions that the Republic of Artsakh has enjoyed de facto independence since 1994.
