Americans for Artsakh, Inc. is a Washington, D.C.-based organization dedicated to promoting the fundamental rights of the Armenians of Artsakh, an ancient region of the historic Armenian homeland.
We support Armenians displaced from their ancestral lands due to genocide and ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan and its allies in September 2023. Our organization aids Artsakh refugees through initiatives focused on workforce development, professional upskilling, vocational education, cultural identity preservation, and high-tech training in fields such as machine learning, data mining, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, we strengthen career services in educational institutions through scholarship programs.
Americans for Artsakh advocates for a just and lasting resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, addressing all humanitarian and political issues. This includes securing the release of Armenian prisoners of war and hostages illegally detained in Azerbaijan, ensuring the safe, dignified return of Artsakh Armenians to their homeland under international guarantees of security and fundamental human rights, as well as preservation of the ancient Christian Armenian heritage in Artsakh.
