I care about Artsakh because it is part of my homeland and the people there are my people. Armenians throughout history have had to endure through adversity and the struggle is not over. We survived by sticking together and helping each other out. Today is no different. Even though we are spread around the world, there is no reason we should stop caring for each other and helping when we can.
Raffi Berberian brings to the Media & Journalism Advisory Board of Americans for Artsakh his experience as a professional photographer and teleprompter operator, who has also worked on the recent President Biden and Vice President Harris the 2020 election campaign. Raffi is currently presenting an ongoing photo project called “Armenia: In Between,” which explores the natural and historical sites that fall between the typical tourist locations. This project grew out of his experience of living in Armenia through the Birthright Armenia program and later working as a freelance photographer in Yerevan. When in Armenia, Raffi organized his own expeditions exploring the country’s less well-known natural and historical sites. As a photographer, Raffi has worked with the Tufenkian Foundation, Repat Armenia, and the Women’s Support Center. With the Tufenkian foundation, Raffi traveled to Arstakh to help document their projects which included going to the front line of the war with Azerbaijan and documenting press conferences with celebrities like Serj Tankian and the president of the Republic of Artsakh.
